For Australians aged 65 and over, it is recommended to consume 25g of protein per meal and between 1,200–1,800kJ (287-430 cal) to help support muscle strength and overall wellbeing. If a meal contains less than this, we suggest pairing it with a soup or dessert to help meet your protein and energy needs.
