Madeline Stuart, recently named ambassador for the Brisbane Disability Expo to be held on 1st and 2nd November, is rapidly changing the world’s perception of people with a disability. At just 22 years of age, the famous supermodel with Down Syndrome uses her worldwide platform to promote acceptance and inclusion. In 2014, she began her journey to get fit and healthy in order to pursue her dance dreams. After accomplishing this, she then went on to chase her newly found passion in fashion modelling.
Madeline was quick to make headlines when a photo of her went viral, viewed over 6.8 million times. This was a world first in the space of fashion modeling and inspired many women aged between 18 and 44. She has featured in leading fashion magazines such as Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Marie Claire and Cleo. Other publications, such as Forbes and New York Times, have also given more power to her voice. Having appeared at iconic fashion events in London, New York, Dubai and Paris, Madeline has truly lived out her aspirations. She also launched her own fitness label recently.
If that’s not enough to inspire you, Madeline competes in the Special Olympics, the Noosa Triathlon, and, is constantly appearing at not-for-profit events to encourage others to follow their dreams and to break down barriers for people with a disability.

During the 2-day expo, attendees will be able to catch insightful presentations by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIS) Professionals, as well as a host of workshops and discussions around disability topics such as healthy living, accessibility, advocacy, special needs management, travel and leisure. There will also be live entertainment for all ages, and open spaces to encourage attendees to socialize and discuss their thoughts on the events held.
