It’s great that the Gold Coast Disability Expo will be on again this June, as it was canceled last year due to Covid, and we’re happy to announce that we, Gourmet Meals, will be there in full force exhibiting our products and services!

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a crippling disease that affects a significant number of people worldwide. World Health Organization (WHO) statistics show that over 2 million people around the world are affected by MS, including more than 25,000 Australians. It affects around three times as many women as men.

All eyes on Madeline

Madeline Stuart, recently named ambassador for the Brisbane Disability Expo to be held on 1st and 2nd November, is rapidly changing the world’s perception of people with a disability. At just 22 years of age, the famous supermodel with Down Syndrome uses her worldwide platform to promote acceptance and inclusion. In 2014, she began her journey to get fit and healthy in order to pursue her dance dreams. After accomplishing this, she then went on to chase her newly found passion in fashion modelling.

Why do people care so much?

This week is National Carers Week 13-19 October 2019 to raise awareness and to applaud the work our unpaid carers do, day in, day out 24/7. They care for so many different reasons, and at any time in any of our lives, we too can become instant unpaid carers.
